Most people begin their journey in the trades by finding an employer willing to sponsor their training. Often, that means starting as a general labourer to gain experience, build skills, and prove readiness.
Since apprenticeship opportunities are rarely offered right away, this first step is an important part of the process. Many people are unsure how apprenticeships work or where to begin, and that is where Kickstart Your Apprenticeship comes in.
The program prepares you for entry into the trades through career exploration, mentorship, workplace training, and hands-on skills development, helping you build a foundation and take the first step toward your apprenticeship pathway.
No prior experience needed. Open to motivated entry-level individuals ready to work.
